Last week we were honoured to hold a very special event with our new patron, Grayson Perry CBE, who described his six years of therapy as the ‘best money ever spent’.

Grayson was joined by Nicky Forsythe (Founder Director of Talk for Health) and Dr Josephine Sauvage (Chair of Islington CCG) for an inspiring and entertaining evening of talks about mental health and the power of peer support and therapeutic conversations.

You can read more about the event from a couple of guests on the evening. Alice McGurran’s report for welldoing.org highlights the importance of peer support for mental health. Alice Buckley’s blog for Westminster Advisors explores the current political context of mental health provision and funding for important services like Talk for Health.

Here at Talk for Health we are positive that the event will make an important contribution to continuing our work in supporting individual wellbeing and promoting social and community networks in Islington and beyond. We want to thank all our guests and volunteers for making the evening such a success.
