March Special: Self-Expression Beats Depression

Self-expression beats depression.

“In many societies, if you came to a medicine person saying you were depressed, they would ask: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by silence?”

– Adapted from Gabrielle Roth

Come and join us in an open, supportive and safe space where you are invited to express yourself, but never expected to do so. We ask you to come to the event with a simple song, poem, speech, dance or mime to share with the group.  If you play an instrument that’s fine too!  Or you want to be spontaneous, just come and tell us a story.  It could be any story from one about a life-changing experience, to a joke or a fairy tale, or a childhood memory.

The space awaits, come and take your place!

Talk for Health’s March Special will be hosted by Ranjit Krishnamma – an actor and group facilitator trained in a variety of acting styles including The Method, the Meisner Process and Bio-energetic Bodywork.
