methode-times-prod-web-bin-4d61c6fa-bcb3-11e6-a53a-ca2ad7b229f9The Charity Mind has obtained figures through the Freedom of Information Act showing that Local Authorities are not spending what they should do on public mental health.  The government outlined in the latest mental health strategy document: The Five Year Forward View , that it will prioritise prevention and promote mental wellbeing.   However less than 1% of councils public health budget is being spent on mental health – and this figure is decreasing year on year.

Talk for Health is one of the only evidence-based measures in the UK open to the public for prevention of mental ill health and the ongoing promotion of mental well being.

Unfortunately we still face being cut.  To support Talk For Health’s Future please fill out our quick survey right here: Every voice counts.
